Insomniac Project debuts local play

Because language, no one younger than 16 will be allowed unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Performances continue at midnight March 1, 7 and 8, and 7 p.m. March 2 and 9 at 3844 Schiff Drive.
"SNAFU" is the story of six women being held prisoner by their own minds or circumstances. They are all looking for their place in the world. This play is about the freedom people seek in their lives and the steps taken in order to be liberated, whether it is mentally or physically.
"SNAFU" was written by Griffin, a local playwright who has a bachelor's degree in acting from Utah State University as well as a Meritorious Achievement Award from the Kennedy Center for "Mulch," another of Griffin's plays. Previous works have been seen in Nevada, including "The Twisted Fairy Tales" from Bedtime Stories in September.
The all-female ensemble features Jennifer de Anne King, Erin Hegarty, Sue Thornton, Pamela Rose, Deanne Grace and Julia Burger. The set and light design are by Ron Lindblom and Ron Zastrow, respectively. The cast will perform on the current set for the main stage production of "Stalag 17" by Donald Bevan and Edmund Trzeinski. Co-directors for this project are Walter Niejadlik and Erica Griffin.
Ticket prices for this production are $5 for everyone. The house will open one hour before the performance.
